Notes from the guys:

I’ll be the first to admit that many halal carts fairly undifferentiable. Mido’s is special. The lamb, not unlike many of the other solid trucks, was tasty, and the rice was fresh, but the chicken was next level flavorful and juicy, and Usam added seasoned fries and jalapeños to make one of the best plates I’ve had, for only $8 for a combo at that. He’s been working the same truck for 13 years now, and it’s clear he’s perfected his craft. Be careful – red sauce is pretty spicy. Mido’s was a memorable stop, and luckily they have two locations now, in Chelsea and Hell's Kitchen. Rated on: Sat Sep 17 2022
